I guess I’m in the minority it seems but I was also questioning why Bummer was left in. Games in March count just as much as they do in September.
Before you say it, I get that they’ll have a better of where they stand later in the year to know if they need to tax the pen. But an opening weekend sweep on the road against the team that knocked you out of the playoffs the past 2 years would have been damn sweet.

That's a brutal mentality to have, we're not going to win every game this season. Hell we're going to lose 50, 60, maybe even 70 more games after tonight.

They weren't going to go through three bullpen arms in
one inning, especially on a cold day in the third game of the season when everyone is still in spring training mode. They brought in Bummer because Philly countered Jimenez with Marsh. And while he gave up the runs, he wasn't even pitching bad, it was some unlucky contact and a fast runner that beat out what would've been an inning-ending double play. shite happens, but it was a getaway day in a series we already won with another road series looming without an off day. No need to treat your bullpen like it's a playoff game. This isn't MLB The Show, these guys are humans and don't have rubber arms.
