You realize that this was going on 50 years ago. Have you ever seen the movie "Dressed to Kill" with Michael Caine. This is not something new and people were saying the same thing in 1980 as you today, but older people don't wanna acknowledge it.

There's several other movies like that too in that era with characters like that.

South Park has had a character about it for 20 years, etc..

Great examples, those characters were played for the hilarity of their clear insanity.

The movement started in the 60s with hippies, free-love, desegregation, homosexuality, etc. The average person born in the 20s-30s was not too keen on all of that, that's true. However, if you're comparing the culture of the 60s to the 2020s, you're insane if you think it was even remotely similar.
