Absolutely so. Had Jesus failed 'the Test', it would have essentially nullified the whole Creation process. Of course, God the Father knew His Son would not fail, given that all that can happen, already has from the Father's POV. The relevant point being, that Jesus DID NOT know the outcome, until he lived it.
Truly THE Son of the Loving God. And the Loving Ideal of the which all of God's Children aspire. None of us are even close, but with the Lord's Mercy, we'll get there.
