I don't recall reading anything about the federal government building/financing gas stations back in the early 1900s

You don't have to go back to the early 1900s. They are still funding them today.

Fossil-fuel subsidies surged to a record $7 trillion last year as governments supported consumers and businesses during the global spike in energy prices caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the economic recovery from the pandemic.

Our society cannot exist without O&G so it is a necessary cost

Bull fricking shite. Oil and gas pays tons of royalties as taxes to this now dumbass country. It employs hundreds of thousands with high paying jobs who all pay taxes and payroll taxes and pay into social security and Medicare bullshite.

Also - because of our oil and gas, we have some of the cheapest energy in the world that keeps our industries competitive as energy costs are a major input cost to nearly every industry in the world.

Go fetch some cobalt from the Congo you cuck.

The BS of a half assed written POS article should include the subsidies for every wind and solar farm. This means you don't know a thing about this waste of time and money.

Oil and gas are not half the cost of this fools pursuit.

Meanwhile every one of those battery charging stations are fueled by coal plants and fossil fuel powered lines.
