Tet offensive, Nixon v Kennedy, etc.

I’m 40 so the first real big one I remember is Dan Rather lying about swiftboat veterans. That was the first one where I saw the lie in real time and didn’t know the news could just lie.

Same, but at least other media outlets held Rather's feet to the fire, and CBS News actually forced people out of their jobs. That would never happen today.

Rather and the producer who was fired each stood by the story after leaving CBS, and insisted it wasn't their job to prove the authenticity of the documents in question. We should've known MSM would be consumed by that mindset eventually.
