Specifically how much faster is LSU? Like give us a number on Malik in Indy and back it up with data…

I just checked combine vs. LSU pro day numbers over the past couple of years and it appears most guys who have run at both have indeed been a hair faster at LSU.

That said, I think it might be a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you are happy with your 40 time at the combine you’re probably not going to run at your pro day. So guys who have run the 40 at both, at least in recent years, have likely done so because they expect that they can beat their 40 time from the combine. Most guys either run at one or the other.

Nobody ran at both in 2023.

In 2021, 2 guys ran at both:
Austin Deculus ran a 5.08 at the combine and a 5.00 at LSU.
Neil Farrell ran a 5.41 at the combine and a 5.33 at LSU.

Can’t count 2021 because of the weird “combine” format.

Nobody ran at both in 2020.

In 2019, 2 guys ran at both:
John Battle ran a 4.67 at the combine and a 4.60 at LSU.
Nick Brossette ran a 4.72 at the combine and a 4.74 at LSU (slower).

In 2018, 2 guys ran at both:
Donte Jackson ran a 4.32 at the combine and a 4.31 at LSU.
Darrel Williams ran a 4.72 at the combine and a 4.59 at LSU.
