It's amazing how the MUH Russia hoax conspiracy theory was relentlessly promulgated by the holier than thou legacy media and their pundits and they still remain holier than thou like they are the final arbiters of truth.

The dossier was never intended to be fact, it was raw intelligence gathering. You're right, the media ran with it and a lot of people believed everything in it. These people are idiots, as are the folks in media who took everything in it as fact.
Russia did interfere in the US elections in 2016. This has been vetted in court, by Mueller, people have gone to jail.
