I actually liked the old HBO Max app OK (maybe I was in the minority) but the new Max just has way too much bullshite that I have no interest in watching. So if I’m bored and just looking for something to watch, I don’t even bother with Max.
I think the best thing about Netflix is the way they handle the mix of promotions and personalized recommendations when browsing a massive catalog. It’s just so much easier to skim through and find something to watch compared to most other platforms.
