Depends how old the animal is and what quality of life is expected. Younger dog that is normally healthy and it's a one off surgery to fix something with little risk of it coming back? Probably up to 5k or so. Cancer? Very little as I'm ethically I'm not sure subjecting dogs to Chemo is appropriate.

I agree. I question the ethics of giving dogs chemo.
