Tell that to the Pilot that hit the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in Florida.

There are no escort tugs ....A bus of Greyhound passengers learned the hard way.

I think they do around the docks etc, but I think this one had cleared all that and was headed out to sea.

I’m thinking when a container ship is underway, tugs turn from useful guides to rubber ducks.

Anyway.. by the time there is is an issue raised.. the tugs would take a while to get in position. It would take more than a couple minutes.
