Just did the same, and it was so stressful watching the cars going across the bridge as the mammoth tanker slowly approaches, but you’re right, it didn’t look like there were any vehicles crossing at the moment it hit and collapsed.

Looks like the networks are starting to cover the story.

That's how I saw it. I kept rooting for the cars to clear the bridge. It looks like all the moving cars cleared the bridge.

If you go back you can see that the ship lost power all the light go out.
