It may take more than 1 two gallon of water for your to cover 1000 sf. I don't know what your total size you're spraying but a 1 gallon tank may prove difficult to work with unless you're only spraying a small area.
It takes two gallons of water for me two cover 1000sf with my sprayer. I spray a cone shaped pattern from the sprayer and go side to side through the area I'm spraying. Good luck and remember to use a surfactant.
