What’s better- Honey Island or Lafitte?

Try the outdoor board. I would think you will at least get a few responses on there.

Don’t have a specific recommendation for you. They come in all shapes and sizes: Some use airboats, some pontoons with a lot of people on it. Some will pick you up in the city, others you have to drive to. I prefer the airboats and did one in Lafitte a few years back that was pretty good. The airboats can get places the pontoons can’t. Just look online and do some research.

For many years Dr Wagner's Honey Island Swamp Tour was the best in the NOLA area. It may still be. It's easy car access out of NOLA or a hotel pickup.
Living in BTR we like to take guests west to Lake Martin and use Cajun Country Swamp Tour. There are other operators as well and some controversy about who does and doesn't follow the rules.
Neither of these are airboat tours which are more like thrill rides.

Only have done honey island and that was ten years ago. Grew up on the Pearl so it wasn’t anything special. But to my niece from Cali, she got to see the gators up close and it was a cool experience. They take you in a wide flat boat with a canopy.
