I was at Walmart on Burbank a few weeks ago and an elderly black gentleman approached me and he had a few items in his hands. It was bread and lunch meat and a couple other things and said he was hungry and didn’t have enough money to pay for his food and could I spare a few bucks to help pay for it. Me being naive said I don’t have any cash but I’ll go to the ATM in front of store and get him $20. I began walking to the front and when I got there I looked back and he was gone. So I didn’t get the money and returned to my shopping. A bit later he shows up again and asks did you get the money. I told him no since you disappeared I did not. I then told him just give me your items and I’ll purchase them for you. Surprisingly he said no, no I can’t do that. “They” don’t want me to do that. I then realized it was a scam. I saw him walking around until I left.
