"demagoguery" kicked that version of the republican party's tail and every version since. They were as full of crap then as they are now and no, they were NOT conservative. Conservative is a myth. These fools get elected to print money. The end.
Trump was no more elected to be a conservative than W. Bush before him, but he is a nationalist rather than firesell the country to the fastest bidder globalist, which is why they hate him. Them being both the left and the so-called "conservatives".
