What she expressed, and I would have to agree is that largely women do not grow up playing basketball. Not like we do at least. Little boys have a tiny fisher price goal by age 5. Most of all males have played organized basketball at some point, even if it was at age 7. On the other hand, majority of women have not.
Watching women play basketball is like watching men play it underwater.

But that's not it. We're not talking about why women aren't as good as basketball as men. That is clearly about athleticism.
The question was about the parity in the women's game. The elite teams in WBB are vastly better than average teams. Elite teams in MBB are better than the average teams by a much smaller margin.
If we are comparing women to women, the answer can't simply be because athleticism.
