The media and Lester earl and c on z say racism is not treating black people differently. Simply by staying silent during BLM stuff Mulkey became racist. That’s just how it works now

Exactly, it is a VERY strong word and it is often improperly used and overly used in the wrong context by folks at both ends of the spectrum all the time.
Basically if someone disagrees in a topic on race, they are racist, if they mention race they are racist or if they have an opinion on race or conduct an action that seemingly borders on what someone perceives as a having something to do with race, they are racist.

To me it's become akin to crying wolf, it's often a lazy shot taken at someone one does not like when they probably don't have much else of substance to come at them with.
