re: What type of career would you recommend to an 18 year old in today's age?

If I were doing it over again, I wouldn’t change my undergrad experience too much but would learn a trade and do an apprenticeship while in school.

But then again the awesome humanities and social science profs I had are an extinct breed. So unless it’s at Hillsdale or somewhere similar I’d skip it and self-learn.
