The economy isn’t the place to attack Biden.
Wrong. Someone has to do some high-level cherry-picking in order to define any economic stats as positive while the country has been under Biden's administration.
Voters feel it. Every poll I've looked at pegs voter disapproval of Biden's handling of the economy at around 60%. When man-on-the-street interviews are done about the economy, the primary answer you hear is they are not voting for Biden this year because of how much more expensive things have become (and continue to be).
Generally speaking, economic numbers are slowly heading in the wrong direction. Both CPI and PPI ticked up, keeping CPI up above 3% for 3 years now (not since it was 2.6% in March 2021) and there's no economic reason for that to change anytime soon. To the contrary, unless Unemployment spikes and job growth plummets, available data points to inflation continuing to stay above 3% through at least the summer.
All that said, it's becoming more and more likely we'll have another rate hike before we have a rate cut (if we end up getting a cut before September, that risks inflation jumping back up).
So, yes, the economy is one of the best places to attack Biden.
