Ever used PODS for moving out of state?

Tried to use PODS to move last year. In short: they’re a shite company, stay away from them. They’ll promise whatever you want to get you to order the pod. After that, you set a pickup date, then they’ll tell you it’ll be two months before it can be picked up and delivered to your destination. Also backtracking on everything you were told when ordering. If you call to try and make arrangements, you’ll be on hold for several hours until they hang up.They won’t call back if you choose that option either.

My understanding is they use to be a solid company several years ago. It’s changed hands a few times and gone downhill surviving on name alone.

ETA: forgot to mention, at some point during that process they’ll double charge your card. Good luck getting a refund on it.

Used them last year in 250 mile move. 2 PODS, dropped off one afternoon to be filled, picked up 24 hours later. Scheduled delivery date, gave us 7 days to unload, picked up the empty PODS. It was one of the smoother parts of our move.

All that said, I've read some horror stories. I did the AirTag thing and the PODS were always where they said they were. My understanding is the quality of service is highly regional

We used PODS last year. The pod was delivered in June. I kept it about a week so I could take my time filling it up. They picked it up and held it in BR until I scheduled it to be delivered to a PODS location in MO. It stayed in storage up here until we found a house. Really easy process. I could have done it cheaper with a ABF, but we didn't have a house to unload into for a couple months. I recommend them.
