It's crazy how slanted it is against the homeowner. You have to "evict" the squatter which right there already shows the bias. You only evict people who at least at some point in time were legally living in a residence.


What should happen is a quick turnaround and once it is determined the squatter did not belong in your house, they immediately get a breaking and entering charge and if they provided a fake least to a cop, that's another charge for forgery. And you prosecute those 2 charges and any others to the fullest extent of the law, as well as the squatter being responsible to pay the homeowner a set amount of money that can be determined per day for the repairs the homeowner now needs to do to get the house back in good condition.
