Here's where it happened:



No shoulder, no bike lane, no street lights, dark clothes, no light on the bike, no reflector, 45 MPH speed limit. By the time the driver could see him it was likely too late.

so no curve, no hill, no overhangs, no roadside obstructions.

Clear skies? Sun is at least partially up, assuming the time is just an estimate.

I'm leaning toward distracted driver unless the cyclist merged / swerved out into the middle of the lane unexpectedly.
