I started the having to get up in the middle of the night to wee-wee routine a couple of years ago. At no point yet, has it ever occurred to me that it would be better to sit. I just can't envision what it would be to make me feel that way.
My neighbor has an outside light that sort of illuminates my nighttime bathroom just enough, so I don't have any directional issues or anything like that.
