I bet . Sounds like some one was set up because of delusional parents . I was a short stop until 9th grade then my new coach put me on first base for the next 4 years . I was somewhat delusional myself . Told my coach I made all stars 4 straight years at shortstop . He laughed he said well you’re too slow to play shortstop for me and hey all star that’s a softball glove you’re using so you need a first baseman glove . It was humbling and funny but I stuck with it . Had a pretty good 4 years a first . I’m glad I was able to understand to concept of playing as a team instead of individual.
