Guy shows up the first day for federal jury duty. He Tells the judge that he can’t serve because he has work. Judge thanked him for coming in and gave him speech on importance of jury duty and statedthe gentlemen needed to show up tomorrow for the second day of jury selection. The guy had an attitude with the judge about coming back.

Day 2 and the guy no shows. Judge issues a warrant and sends US marshal to his work. They bring the guy in later that morning. Judge puts him in a holding cell for the day. Around 4:00 the judge brings the guy into the court room and tells him he will be part of the next jury pool and to be sure not to miss.

When I was called there was a guy who worked out of state, pipeliner or something. His week off coincided with jury duty. He explained to the judge he had to be back at work next week and the judge was sympathetic but still made him stay.
