No but I've heard of people getting them delivered via certified mail to prove receipt. To be honest, the judge and prosecutors don't want someone there who's going to be a pain in the arse so you'll probably get dismissed for any halfway decent reason. Just be aware that the judge isn't going to say "oh ok well that's fine" if you say some bullshite

I would prefer this over a post card looking notice that looks like it’s a piece of junk mail (if it even makes it to correct address in 1st place). Around time of shutdowns I received a notice that I didn’t need to show up for a summons that I didn’t even know I had received a summons and then found out this was the second one I didn’t see in last 6 months.
