El Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant on Airline Hwy across from Franks.
First went in 1969 when i was twelve. My sister took me there on her lunch break in order to broaden my culinary tastes because I was a bit of a picky eater.
I think I didn’t even know that Mexican Food was even a thing.
I still order the same plate of food called a toluca. There was a time when I would call my order in for a toluca and they’d say, “Hi wallowinit”.

Is actually pretty decent. Old school Tex-Mex. It's where I go too. I usually get the Toluca as well.
