How can people not at least be aware of what their money is invested in? It’s simple to know what funds are invested and what the market has done on average during that time period. Literally requires the bare minimum involvement. I think people expect a FA to do everything and they can plead ignorance is bliss.

…Until they wake up and realize they f’ed up and they own the consequences (not the FA).

I have no idea what I’m invested in off the top of my head in my 401k. I set that about 10 years ago and haven’t changed a thing. I’ve got a Roth with Edward’s jones and a few other accounts with them but have no idea which funds.

I can tell you what stocks and crytpo that I’m in that I play with.

You do realize there are people out there with W2s only and still need to pay tax professionals to fill out their returns. When it comes to money & numbers; some people just lock up and need others handle everything for them
