I also did not know about larger doses of ibuprofen. OTC tablets are 200 mg, but you could get 800 mg tablets prescribed.
The max dose in a 24 hour period is 3200 mg before you start having kidney issues.
Tylenol is just as hard on the kidneys. I remember one time having a cold and taking some DayQuil and then took some Mucinex two hours later with acetaminophen.
My urine was nice and brown.
