I'll argue that it is a pancea (outside of rape and the virgin Mary.) It 100% does work
i'm not arguing that you should only wait till marriage to have sex (that is what i belive is "best.") I understand that's archaic to most. i'll even settle for "don't have sex with somebody you're not willing to raise a child with."
you did that and congrats, abstinence worked for you.

Only if one's definition of "working" is limited to just pregnancy/STDs (and even in the latter case, that's not 100% accurate, actually). Abstinence can set a lot of young adults up for later relationship failure, too. But again, depends on one's working definition (literally

Eh, I got lucky, honestly. It's Russian roulette in a lot of ways. I know several peers of mine who abstained, and several who didn't, and their results have been a very mixed bag, with abstinence not being a key indicator of the success or failure of their relationships. My dumbass just happened to hit the jackpot with Aggiebelle lol.
