You ever heard of “boiling the frog”? Well, here, you were the frog. People that are way smarter than you knew better than to tell you up front how long we’d need to stay locked down (obviously until we had a functioning vaccine), so they “boiled the frog”.

It worked. Had they not done so, our hospital system would have collapsed.
