A nice vehicle is really only a need if looking nice is part of your job. Otherwise it’s a luxury. If you can afford the luxury and want it, buy it. If you don’t care about the luxury then buy a newer vehicle that suits your need. Plenty of 100k Toyotas out there for reasonable prices that won’t make you poor.
