LSU is 8th in the NET rankings. Looking at the resumes of the other teams ahead of them you can make a VERY strong argument LSU is the "weakest" #2 seed based upon resume. The selection committee generally tries to "snake" the bracket. That is they try to pair the top overall seed with the weakest #2 seed, best #3 seed, and so on (though there is no hard and fast rule they do) So while I would say it is unlikely LSU gets put in the same bracket. I wouldn't say there is "no chance"

After Sunday’s game there is no way they would want the rematch to not be in the final four.
I imagine they set it up to have the match up in the final four game with the winner going play Caitlin Clark in the championship.
Lot has to happen for that to actually occur but if it were to play out like the 3 games in Cleveland would be must watch.
