It was a quote, not a historical account. The book, "The Myth of the Noble Savage," was great. Good enough that I've apparently purchased it more than once after the class at LSU. History prof assigned it at LSU in the 90s. I don't think "based" was a term that existed back then. But then you drop dimes on me like, the anti-bill of rights folks weren't commies, they were worried that the government would take over anything that wasn't in the bill of rights... Mind blown.
