I don’t really interact with police on even a yearly basis. I do with the general public.

They are far worse.


I can recognize being a cop can be a shite job. They aren’t pulling from the top of the chain. And they are put in situations where it really is you or the perp.


They have good cops, and shite cops. Like every profession. I don’t know a single profession that hasn’t had people abuse their position or have people frick up.

The problem is the bartender at chilis or Uber driver can only screw the entirety of my life so badly. The indifferent front desk agent at the hotel doesn’t causes me only so much headache.

The “just like any other profession, some of them suck” line isn’t great amongst some of those jobs we trust with life or death decisions… or still very serious arresting decisions.
