Paying Ridley $23 million being SOP while good-elite RBs have to form their own damn sub union to get paid less than half that a year is absurd.

WR are like the third least valuable offensive/defensive players in the league behind fullbacks and off ball linebackers. You don’t win Super Bowls paying a WR 10-16% of your cap space. It’s just asinine. Only two positions are worth that level of cap commitment in the NFL: QB and OT.

Pass rusher, especially a great interior pass rusher, definitely belongs in this category.

WRs are infinitely more valuable than RBs though. You can't out-athlete an entire front seven because they're too athletic at this level. That's why drafting one, say 8th overall (dumbass Falcons), is absolutely retarded. An elite WR who can consistently beat the man lined up across from him opens up a lot more of an offense than a RB does.

Modern NFL running games are solely reliant on scheme and OL play and have very little to do with the skill of the runner himself. Big plays come on the perimeter, not out of the backfield.

WR's are more valuable than RB's, at least top level ones are. Tyreke Hill, JJ, Jamar Chase, etc.. is far more valuable than top level RB's. They open up the whole offense because the back 7 have to fear the deep ball.
