Pretty much this. Look at Ted Cruz. Trump goes after his wife, and Ted still goes to bat for him. I agree with Cruz a lot politically, but I have zero respect for him.

That's a load of bullshite unless you're talking about the meme wars and social media.
Trump couldn't get a Republican majority in congress to build a wall a clear majority of Republican voters desperately want.

I'd say Cruz is a big picture guy. He has to work with Trump as he is currently on top on the right.
In other words, he's doing what Trump should be doing; Working with people he despises instead of throwing them under the bus to the detriment of the party.
