Here is a video of how the commander core xt is connected.

Youtube.

It may give you some insight on how it is/should be connected. From the video, it has a usb header and sata power. The rest are fan controls and rgb, along with temp probes.

If you can trace the sata and usb header cables to see where they are connected, you can check if it goes to a hub. Did you happen to see a usb hub in there? It seems like it is powered if you are getting power to the pump header and fans, being that they are spinning and lighting up. Also, if your pump wasn't working then it would probably overheat and shut down. My suspicion is either a usb header issue or software.

I say usb header because you need 4 spots (lcd screen, commander core xt, 2 iCue hubs. They have to be split somewhere or they just aren't connected.

Thanks, I'll check the video out. Should it be the same, since I have a commander core and not the xt?

When you say USB hub, is that a separate component or do you mean a hub on the actual motherboard?

I'll try to open it up and take some photos the next time I open the case up. I'm assuming the LCD screen and commander core are connected and powered, because the LCD screen does show the temp and the fans are lit and running. I don't understand why iCUE isn't picking it up.

There was a cable coming from the bottom that looked like it had between 6-8 pin slots on it that wasn't plugged into anything, wasn't sure what that was.

Another side note, I bought a Lian RGB cable that plugs into the motherboard and apparently it's attached to a Lian Li controller, I saw that for the first time when I opened the back of the case. Before I sent the PC in that cable was lit up with RGB lights, but since getting it back it hasn't been lighting up either. That dawned on me as I was opening the case. Wonder if that got unplugged somehow, too.

I wonder if I should try unplugging the commander core and then reattaching all of the cables to see if it'll get detected when I start the PC back up? Worked for the QX fans, but I doubt the AIO is going to be that simple.

Part of me is tempted to just buy the updated cooler that runs off of a Link Hub...I would think/hope iCUE wouldn't have issues picking it up then. But I'm managing my "frick it, I'm swapping it out" drive as best as I can. I mean, a commander core should be enough to have iCUE detect it, there has to be an issue somewhere with how it's set up.

ETA: You mentioning the need for the 4 header slots (LCD screen, Commander Core, 2 Link Hubs), would it be worth trying that external powered USB hub that I bought? If I can find out which cables are for the LCD & AIO fans try plugging them into the external hub and see if that does anything? Just tossing it out there, because it seems like I am running (possibly) more components than my Mobo has headers for, so maybe they split the AIO and the splitter is causing the issue?
