Dude watch the larry bird Celtics. They ran plays. Pass it around to the chief or Mchale down low, Bird coming off screens, or DJ or Ainge from the top of the key. Same with Isiah Thomas's Pistons, Doctor J Sixers, or Magic with the Lakers. Everybody was involved in those offenses.

Have you watched modern offenses? It's all passing and team offense.
I bet I can pull up a random Celtics game from the Bird era and see significant isolation play. the illegal defense rules and coaching loved isolation and fast break (in the 80s, not as much in the 90s and there was about none in the early 00s).
