Really doesn't hold up. Boring album. I would pick The Unforgettable Fire for their best work. They are such douche bags now. Can't stand them. One of the funniest moments in rock history is Apple forcing their new single on everyone and the firestorm of backlash a free single caused.

Ok.
I completely understand the disdain for U2 from late 90s, forward, but they were as solid a group as there was in the 80s. Unforgettable Fire is great and possibly has there best single, but overall it can be a bit scattered and unfocused, which Joshua Tree was not. Boring? I'm not sure I can name a better overall album start to finish, although I can name a few on the same level. They're assholes, but give them their due.
