As I said clearly last night. This isn't a thread to criticize Trump. It's a thread to criticize talking points.
Nonetheless, it has devolved into a whining bitchfest about what a bad guy the GOP nominee is.
Once that devolution occurs, the binary nature of the equation needs to surface. Because unfortunately the whole thing ultimately distills to a choice between two, and only two, alternatives. Bitching about the better of the two, serves no practical purpose.

Bad is a relative term. If you are a fan of Modern Monetary Theory, Trump is a good guy.
If youre a fan of classical economics, hes an idiot.
Many here seem to be fine with the status quo and think the Economy is great.

The Democrats have their gameplan to force trump to pump the economy full of cash. It ... will work in 2025.
E.g., Les Miles had a gameplan to insert Jefferson at QB and beat Bama in 2011. A couple of months later, in 2012, that same gameplan did not work.

Is that a good reason to push one of its failures as the leader of the Party?

What is the gameplan?
See 2020. There is nothing or no one to stop them.
Expect 4 replays.

Implementation is not so much Trump as it is departmental and permanent departmental staff related, correct?
I mean Trump hired a bunch of family, grifters, and zealots with no experience in this area. It's not shocking they bumbled it over and over.

As we saw through 2019/20 there were a litany of "nonpolitical" permanent government employees hellbent on undercutting directives.
This has nothing to do with that.

The issue is this.
Trump offers no alternative to the Progressives when it comes to fiscal issues. Lets stop pretending "Joes" economy is anything other than what it is, a continuation of Donalds, which was a continuation of Baracks.
MAGA cant criticize fiscal stupidity., Theyre a large part of it.
I will say Trump backhandedly fixed part of the immigration problem in 2020. The economy sucked so badly that they stopped trying to come here.

These are the 3 facts I know
1. My grocery bill was half of what it is now when Trump was in office
2. It costs less to drive my vehicles when Trump was in office
3. The ability for everyday Americans to purchase a home was an actual possibility and not just a dream under Trump.
You do realize Trump had a hand in 2/3 of those things, right?

Those are the things at the end of the day that matter to voters. Not national debt.
And that my friends is why we’ll have a 2nd Trump term. Discuss all of the other things you want. Those 3 are what get you elected
Again, you're ignoring Trump's influence on 2 of 3 of those issues.

Yep, and the pool is even smaller and muddier in 2024 than it was in 2016.

The points are clear: Trump is a huge spender and deficit-debt creator. This is pre-Covid, too. This went crazy during Covid (and, again, as TA pointed out last night, Trump's biggest criticism of the last stimulus under his admin was not spending enough).

People have been trying to force this since page 1.

I doubt they'll need to go that far. He seemed very willing to be the Covid hero.
They carried that into summer, burned cities, killed cops. Carried that over to November when they fricked up the elections.
All under Trumps watch.
He gets another chance to screw it up. I have absolutely no faith he will do anything differently.

To claim there is no anticipated fiscal difference between the prospects of a 2025-29 Trump vs Biden Administration is just silly.

Not at all.
If youre looking at macro issues, its the same economy.
What do you call deficit spending in good economic times?
