I agree it will be interesting. And it's very civil now, and I hope it stays that way. My fear is if Holman has a bad start and gives up 5 runs and doesn't make it out of the 2nd or whatever and we wind up losing, this thread will be bumped by some idiot and it will draw more idiots like a moth to a flame. I just don't want it to turn into a shitting on Luke Holman thread if he has 1 bad outing. And I'd like to think the Rant is above that. But I actually read it.

No doubt. The pen being deeper will allow Jay to feel more comfortable taking him out after 6 (like last night) or 7, even on a night he's dealing in a close game if gets up close to 100 pitches and starts losing a little velocity and/or command. We almost had to have Skenes go 8 every week last year to have a chance to win the weekend. Couldn't afford to burn any pen arms.

By the way, helluva job by Herring last night to finish off the game and save the rest of the pen for today and tomorrow. It looked for a second there like Guidry was gonna have to come in, but Herring battled his way out of it and closed the door. Could pay big dividends.
