Watching Raymond going over how to use your hand the check the receiver coming off the line and the CB having to be told again makes me think something that basic was not effectively communicated to them last season. WTH

Turning your head is an effect of learning to recognize the tells a receiver has. It can also be effective communication on the field but that gets difficult in very loud stadiums

I hate to appear to be constantly defending last year's coaches, because they were terrible. But Derek Stingley did not know how to do this when he left LSU. He constantly turned his hips before the receiver, committed, putting himself in a position of defenseless when the receiver crossed over him. Alabama and Florida absolutely abused Stingley that year. The pros trained that out of him his first year.

It seems like an easy concept, but it is extremely difficult to do. There is no time to think. It has to be reflexive.
