OT orthopedics and any experienced feedback

Long story short, had an open OATS procedure last February and another knee scope this past November. Varus alignment with virtually complete collapse of the medial compartment of my right knee. 2 different ortho docs suggest high tibial osteotomy given my age and activity level. Curious if anybody has been through this and what I can expect. Any feedback is appreciated.

you will likely be non weight bearing for 6 or so weeks and slowly progressed from there so that means crutches or walker. won't be able to use a knee walker. other than the weight bearing portion, the rehab isn't much different from a knee replacement surgery.
