Are you aware that the "Run D" stat has been pretty much thrown out the window as a basis for whether or not you can stop an option team?

Are you aware that you will be playing a team with 3 weeks and a year full of film to prepare for that attack?

If you guys run over us it will be because our coaches are totally incompetent...not because your offense is so dynamic that it is unstoppable.

If we get good play out of our QB, then GT is in trouble.

Ga Tech has thrown for 217 yds in their last 4 games......combined! Yes, an average of 54 ypg!!

Haven't you always wanted to play a one dimensional team???

Why pass when you can run for 1500 yards combined in those same 4 games.

You do realize that we have the 17th ranked run defense?

You do realize that UGAg was about there when we played them, and now they're #41.

We've got the same three weeks to prepare for you...and there is decades of film on the option, not one year.

I'm not saying anything is unstoppable..quite a few teams proved that it is, in fact, very stoppable like any other offense.

Let's face it, asking LSU for decent QB play this year is like asking for a small miracle.

i wouldn't get too excited over them being one dimensional. LSU hasn't exactly done well against non-traditional rushing attacks the past few seasons

They were actually 1ypg per game better than LSU before we played them.

Okay nerds, you guys have hijacked the thread. My original post was to point out that there isn't backup for the many negatiger posts saying we don't stand a chance, not that LSU is going to blow out GaTech.

ETA: Only 2 competitive games this year have I had a good feeling about LSU winning......Bama and GaTech.

But, like I said before, you painted the picture with only one color...and it was purple.

I was just evening it out with some white and gold.

Good stuff Techin, good to know the Cliff Notes version, without having to watch a season's worth of option.

I disagree....I was using season statistics to make the point.

Black & white is the color I believe....

I have a hard time getting worked up by a GT fan running smack.

It kind of makes you just chuckle and want to walk up to them and mess their hair up and talk about how cute they are.

Well then it was just black.

If our offense is one dimensional, then your stats should focus on the one dimension we do have.

Hey, you know... you're likely to get "a season's worth of option" in the bowl game. Make sure you DVR it.

Haha...at least their being good sports about it. It's no fun when one side breaks down into "oh ya!? You're a nerd!" or "oh ya!? you smell like corndogs!"

I'm not sure we're speaking the same language.

If a team passes the ball for 54 ypg (last 4 games) that is considered one dimensional.

This is a multiple choice question, but there are only two answers......

techn, I'm jacked about this game. I think the Tigers will come out fired up wanting one last chance to redeem the season, and we'll be pushing for 10 wins and a top 10 finish. Two good teams on the field on national TV. What more could one want?

lsume you can consider it whatever you want...my point remains that focusing on what we DON'T do doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

If we run 62 plays in a game, and only 6 of them are passing plays(ala UGA, or 63/7 ala Miami)...shouldn't you talk about our collective stats for what we are doing the other 90% of the time?

Well, to be fair and balanced, it would be per the season (not just per the Rant). I'd love to see LSU break this season's suck-cess and actually shut the Techies down.
