Finished it last night. 4 out of 5 game for me. Really mechanically satisfying, highly polished and optimized. Hindered a bit by too many MMO sidequests, less than ideal localization and writing, and lack of environmental variety. The game operated at its best during its one-off linear levels.
Last act is the best part of the game for sure. Balls to the wall action with all kinds of "holy shite" moments and badass sequences. It honestly felt like a whole different game than the first 2 acts, and tbh I kinda wish the whole game was like it. Give me 12-15 linear levels with all kinds of spectacles and setpieces and jaw dropping segments, a hub city or two that you visit in between levels, 1-2 open chapters in more open areas that allow exploration, and bam, you have a masterpiece formula. Felt like they realized this later in development and really locked in. Bosses at the end actually get pretty difficult too (didn't die to any of them until the last bunch).

Good to hear! I can’t wait!
I pretty much agree with you based on what I have done so far. I’m looking forward to what they do next. I’d have to imagine they will do a second after the success of this one. I believe this game was very close to being a masterpiece.
The whole dead space thing I mentioned earlier was a change of pace out of nowhere and I was unsure how I felt about it at the very start but by the end of it is was like okay….that was fun! I wouldn’t mind if they sprinkled that in here and there.
Minor movement issues when going all parkour at times can be a little frustrating but I have played so many games that I could say the same about.
I also feel like not everything needs to be “open world” in games these days. I feel this game would do well with a Bloodborne type layout.
