If you are running for president you shouldn't be skipping debates. I don't care if Trump had a big lead or not. If you are so confident in your policies and decisions you should be able to face questions.
It denies true debate on the issues that the voters are interested in.

Was it beneficial for him to skip? Absolutely. Why is that? Because he wouldn't have to face questions over shutting the country down, continued spending and helicopter money for the entire country?

I'm voting for Trump but he should be able to handle debates and face questions about his spending, covid etc.

Republican voters are only interested in talking about issues, they aren't interested in solving them. They are as bad as the RINOs in congress they claim to hate. Otherwise they might have had a problem with "Amnesty Don".
