Exactly. Saban can say that he prepares his guys for a future but even Alabama probably only puts like 20-30% of their players in the NFL for even a year. The reality is that you can’t make a career out of a 3-5 year NFL stint. You’ll have to work again and it can’t be in your greatest skill (playing football). Increasing your earning years by 3-4 is huge for these players.

I don’t blame them one bit. It’s bad for the programs but that’s just the way it is. If the NCAA had allowed colleges to pay players, they could have worked out contracts, etc.
