Yeah that golf course is cooked.
Nothing like having a $300 million facility right next to Tigerland section 8 housing. With that being said this is better than any other spot away from campus. Somebody will come buy out those apartments eventually.

Golf course? May as well put it in the Quad or Parade Grounds.

With the concerts and events they hope to attract, those units will be razed and a wise developer will print money on a rebuild mixed use site.

With all the trouble that comes out of that place, how has this not been done already?

Maybe they should just raze that and put it there. It isn't the BEST location, but it would work and it would be feasible. Section 8 housing areas and college bars can't be that expensive to buy out.2 birds, one stone.

You’re a moron if you think this won’t bring in a ton of activity to this area for new developments. This is literally exactly what the city needs. This could transform that area and make it mixed use walkable area. Everyone will win. I was calling for this months ago

I think the property value raises enough from the proximity to the arena that those residential areas turn a corner for the better.
At least I hope.
This could also revitalize Tiger Land a bit and lead to a rowdier student section. Bar hop > walk a block to basketball games > bar hop.

I’d imagine someone will buy it out and put hotels or nicer housing. The developer of the stadium might add lodging. Walk from hotel to stadium would be a nice addition.

Tigerland needs to be bulldozed and turned into a green space.

Not to be that guy BUT LSU has bought out the sections 8 and plan to redevelop it all.

Why not try to lure a developer to demolish and start over? Dont just build a venue but build beyond that
