Everything is different now. Dont be obtuse.

The horse is out of the barn with Biden's mental acuity and now the border has eclipsed inflation as the #1 issue. The polling makes that clear, and this was not a significant talking point during the midterms since these people were not on the ballot. You said it yourself... The potus being on the ballot changes things.

As for issues, Trump doesnt "just have the border". He has the economy which is a "1a/1b" issue with immigration atm. He also kills Biden on national security, crime, and these silly wedge issues like Trans in sports, etc...

Trump will be hard to beat in a fair fight. If the harvesting apparatus in the new battleground states for republicans is strong, and they can strike early, it should be a good night for the R's. Will it be a wave? Probably not. I think waves are a thing of the past.

All of these existed in 2022 and the GOP had a terrible midterm.

The economy and inflation are better than 2022.

Crime is a lot better than 2022.

Biden's mental issues existed in 2022.

The trans issues led to GOP victories in these areas in 2021 and then they flipped back to 2022 when Trumpism was allowed to seep into the races. This isn't a new issue.
